Update: November 7, 2017

Lexington Boulevard - Traffic Switch

A traffic switch will take place on Lexington Blvd. from Colonists Park Drive to Settlers Way Blvd. on Wednesday, November 15. Lexington Blvd. traffic will be reopened full width to traffic on both sides of the boulevard. The roadway has been partially closed to allow for storm sewer improvements.


Residents are asked to be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area to prevent traffic congestion. Visit its.sugarlandtx.gov for more information on Sugar Land travel time data.

Update: October 3, 2017

Coles Farm, Pecan Point Drive, Lexington Boulevard - Updates

Coles Farm will be closed intermittently at Lexington Boulevard until October 13. Coles Farm traffic will be detoured to Colonist Park Drive. The detour is taking place to allow for storm sewer installation and utility relocations.


Westbound Pecan Point Drive traffic between Fort Settlement and Vinces Bridge will be detoured to Settlers Way Boulevard from September 5 through October 24. The detour is taking place to allow for storm sewer installation and utility relocations.


A traffic switch will be implemented on Lexington Boulevard from Colonists Park Drive to Settlers Way Boulevard on Tuesday September 5. Lexington Boulevard traffic will be switched to two way traffic on the east bound side of the boulevard to allow for storm sewer installation. This traffic change is expected to last until October 31.

Coles Farm Drive - Closure

Coles Farm Dr. will be closed at Lexington Blvd. until September 29. Coles Farm traffic will be detoured to Colonist Park Dr. The detour is taking place to allow for storm sewer installation and utility relocations.

A traffic switch will be implemented on Lexington Blvd. from Colonists Park Dr. to Settlers Way Blvd. on Tuesday September 5. Lexington traffic will be switched to two way traffic on the east bound side of the boulevard to allow for storm sewer installation. This traffic change is expected to last 4 weeks.

Lexington Blvd. traffic will be switched to two way traffic on the east bound side of the boulevard to allow for storm sewer installation. This traffic change is expected to last 4 weeks.

Lexington Blvd. traffic will be switched to two way traffic on the east bound side of the boulevard to allow for storm sewer installation. This traffic change is expected to last 4 weeks.

Southbound Fort Settlement Dr. traffic will be detoured to Colonist Park Dr. and and Settlers Way Blvd. from August 9 through September 15. The detour is taking place to allow for storm sewer installation and utility relocation.

Lexington Blvd. and Settlers Way Blvd. - Alternating Lane Closures

Alternating lane closures will be taking place at the intersection of Lexington Blvd. and Settlers Way Blvd. from June 14 through June 30. The lane closures are taking place to allow for storm sewer and paving installation.

Update: May 15, 2017

Lexington Blvd. – Traffic Switch

A 3-month long traffic switch will take place on Lexington Blvd., from Colonists Park Drive to Sugar Crossing Drive on Monday, May 22. Lexington Blvd. traffic will be switched to two way traffic on one side of the boulevard to allow for storm sewer installation.

Initial Message

The Lexington Blvd. & Highlands Section III Drainage Improvements Project is scheduled to begin in May 2017. Lane closures, detours and limited water service disruptions can be expected.


This project will provide for needed storm water drainage improvements on a portion of Lexington Boulevard, and the adjacent subdivisions of Highlands Section III, and Sugar wood Section II.


The project is expected to be complete by March 2018.
