[ARCHIVED] State Highway 6 (from Brooks St. to Lexington Blvd.) – Temporary Lane Closures

Temporary single lane closures will be taking place on SH6 (from Brooks St. to Lexington Blvd.). The closures will be short-term in duration and intermittent, tentatively expected to begin mid-May through August. The lane closures are for relocation of power line poles.

Updates will be posted for any anticipated major traffic impacts. Residents are asked to be mindful of work crews and expect potential traffic delays. Visit for more information on Sugar Land travel time data.

Improving Mobility within Sugar Land
This project is in partnership with TxDOT and signifies an investment in mobility improvements and traffic management in the State Highway 6 corridor. The project is part of ongoing efforts to improve mobility along major thoroughfares through Sugar Land, including State Highway 6, U.S. Highway 90A. and University Boulevard.
