As a vital element in the City of Sugar Land’s overall water resource management strategy, our mission is to efficiently implement a stormwater program that effectively addresses flood control and run-off quality issues while emphasizing the elimination of non-point source pollution.

Long-Term Goals

  • Protect water quality by preventing siltation and contamination of the city’s waterways
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state water quality regulations and legislation
  • Increase public awareness and citizen involvement in water quality efforts
