Sugar Land’s Development Code provides guidance for the review of requests to alter or develop property within the city.
Pre-Development Meetings
To provide applicants an opportunity to present their project to city staff, who then provides feedback to applicants on the project to clarify submittal expectations and specific code requirements.
Interactive Zoning Map
The Interactive Zoning Map can be utilized to provide applicants with the zoning designation of their property.
Submittal Procedures
As of June 14, 2022 the plan submittal processes will be online intake only through our Citizen Self Service (CSS) web portal. You will be able to apply and pay for plan submittals online, at any time. The Citizen Self Service (CSS) online web portal can be accessed via the City’s webpage, and also via this link: www.sugarlandtx.gov/CSS
All development related submittals and payments shall be submitted online via the CSS web portal on Monday by 5 pm. The submittals will then be routed for processing to the appropriate departments.
