Since the opening of the terminal building in June 2006, the Sugar Land Regional Airport has proudly hosted art displays from area art leagues. Framed artwork representing a theme is showcased on two fabric-covered walls in the heart of the Lobby. The artwork changes every 30 to 60 days, and is available for purchase. There is no cost to view the artwork.
Treasure Hunters, the Airport's eclectic Texas gift shop and Cafe Select, the Airport's own unique snack bar is also available to visitors. The Airport also provides a way to safely watch aircraft activity by offering access to two secure observation porches.
The public is invited during the terminal's regular hours (6 a.m. — 9 p.m., 7 days a week). Art leagues interested in displaying at the Sugar Land Regional Airport must meet the following criteria
- must be a 501.c.3 art organization
- all artwork must be framed. (exceptions for artwork done on canvas)
- artwork must have a theme.
