Sugar Land International Art & Kite Festival Soars into Spring with Soccer Highlights

WHO: More than 6,500 residents and kite-fliers, Mayor Carol K. McCutcheon, and artists from around the world.

WHAT: The City of Sugar Land is excited to host its annual International Art & Kite Festival, a vibrant community celebration featuring colorful kites, interactive art, and family-friendly activities that are free and open to the public. As an Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Houston Host City Supporter, Sugar Land is kicking off the spring season featuring live art and soccer-themed fun, including the live artwork installation of two soccer ball murals painted by local artists.

Festival attendees can enjoy a main stage featuring cultural performances by local community groups and a special live performance by Bombón, featuring DJ Gracie Chavez, as well as chalk art competitions, food trucks and a beer garden sponsored by Saint Arnold Brewery. Guests will have the opportunity to explore artisan art and craft booths highlighting cultures from China, Nigeria, and Jamaica.

**Parking: Due to current road closures on Hwy. 59, guests must enter the festival through the Sugar Land Memorial Park entrance at 15300 University. Free shuttle service will be available from University of Houston-Sugar Land, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and there will be limited on-site parking at Brazos River Park and Crown Festival Park. Follow festival parking signage for direction.
