The Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan identifies a citywide network of pedestrian and bicycle facilities and accompanying support programs. The 2013 Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan replaces the 2007 Hike and Bike Trails Master Plan and expands the planned recreational network to focus on both recreational and non-recreational trips.
The City is making a change its approach to addressing mobility issues by shifting its focus from moving vehicles to moving people. The City’s goal is to achieve superior mobility, which is identified as Goal G in the Comprehensive Plan. The City understands that superior mobility includes multiple modes of transportation and aims to provide residents, visitors, and tourists with multiple transportation options to choose from within Sugar Land.
