The city currently maintains 846 miles of sidewalks and 1000 lane miles of streets.
Street Repairs
The city performs a citywide pavement assessment of all its streets every five years. This assessment assigns a Pavement Condition Rating (PCR) of zero to 100 for each segment. It is the city’s goal to maintain each segment at a PCR rating of 65 or greater. On average, the city’s streets are rated at 72.
Sidewalk Repairs
Through sidewalk condition assessments, coupled with resident requests, sidewalks are identified and prioritized for repair or replacement based on the program’s evaluation criteria. Repair work is done by city staff or a vendor.
