The Municipal Pool at City Park is open to the public throughout each summer! The pool is 25 yards long and ranges from 3-12 feet in depth, with two 1-meter diving boards. Originally built in 1967, it is one of the city's oldest and most treasured amenities and is home to the Sugar Land Sharks swim team.
Please note: the City is not currently offering swim lessons.
2025 Pool Season
Pool Season at the Municipal Pool begins Memorial Day weekend and lasts through Labor Day weekend. The pool is closed on Mondays for maintenance, except during Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 - 26)
Saturday, Sunday & Monday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Summer Operations (May 28 – Aug. 3)
Tuesday* - Friday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The pool will be closed Tuesday, May 27 for post-Memorial Day maintenance.
Weekend Operations (Aug. 9 - 24)
Saturday & Sunday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Closed Monday - Friday
Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 30 - Sep. 1)
Saturday, Sunday & Monday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Pool Fees
We have 2 pool pass options, so you can choose what works best for you based on how often you plan to visit the pool! Options allow for payment with either cash or credit card (credit card only for Daily Pass). Pool entry is free for children under 3 years of age.
Annual Passes may be purchased at the Imperial Park Recreation Center (IPRC). IPRC operating hours are Mon-Fri 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sat 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Season Pass (unlimited entry for the pool season)
- Residents: Ages 3 years & up: $11.55 per pass.
- Non-Residents: Ages 3 years and up: $23.10 per pass.
Daily Pass (pay at the gate; no cash)
- Residents:
Ages 3-12 years: $2.10 per day.
Ages 13 years & up: $3.68 per day. - Non-Residents:
Ages 3-12 years: $2.63 per day.
Ages 13 years & up: $4.73 per day.
