Sugar Land to Host Town Hall For Music Industry Professionals

2025 City News Releases Posted on August 13, 2025

Sugar Land, TX – The City of Sugar Land’s Music Advisory Board invites musicians, venue owners, artist managers, talent agents, and performing arts organizations to attend a Music Industry Town Hall on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 6 p.m. in Sugar Land City Hall Chambers.

As part of Sugar Land’s ongoing commitment to growing its creative economy, this special event will serve as a forum for music and performing arts professionals to share ideas, voice concerns, and explore opportunities for building a vibrant local industry. Hosted by the Sugar Land Music Advisory Board—in collaboration with the Texas Music Office and Sugar Land Civic Arts Division—the event aims to identify the resources, partnerships, and strategies needed to strengthen the city’s music ecosystem. We want to hear directly from those shaping our stages: musicians, managers, venue owners, and creative professionals, on how Sugar Land can better support you,” said Sha Davis, Sugar Land Civic Arts Manager. “This Town Hall is about collaboration, listening, and taking meaningful steps to grow a vibrant performing arts landscape in Sugar Land.”

Music industry professionals and venue owners are encouraged to RSVP to attend or share feedback, submit questions and comments in advance, or participate virtually via livestream. To register or share feedback, visit: sugarlandtx.gov/CivicArts and click “Music Advisory Board”.
