Lane Closure

On Monday (9/8), the Eastbound lanes of Country Club Blvd between Montclair Blvd and Power Ct will close for construction. Eastbound traffic on Country Club Blvd will be redirected to use one Westbound lane, creating two-way traffic on the Westbound lanes. This traffic switch is expected to last approximately 60 days. 

Residents are asked to be mindful of work crews and follow detour signs, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area to prevent traffic congestion. For real-time traffic conditions around this area, visit its.sugarlandtx.gov.

About this Project

The paving replacement on Country Club Blvd. will begin at Sugar Creek Blvd. and progress Eastward to the City Limits. This project will take place in conjunction with the Montclair Drainage Project for the improvement of storm drains and repaving from Montclair Blvd. to Power Ct. 

These city improvements were included in four general obligation bond propositions totaling $90.76 million decisively approved by Sugar Land voters on Nov. 5, 2019. The projects covering drainage, facilities, mobility and safety included in the propositions were selected based on extensive planning through various master plans, City Council input and the results of citizen satisfaction surveys that indicated drainage, public safety and traffic/mobility are the top three priorities for residents.
