Lonnie Green Park is nestled behind Oyster Creek, providing a serene backdrop for visitors. The park features an enclosed play area with 2 playgrounds to serve both younger and older children, ample green space, park benches, two picnic tables, drinking fountains and a small parking lot.
Mature oak trees add to the natural beauty of the park's green space and provide natural shade for the play area. The park is named in honor of Lonnie Green, the only Sugar Land soldier who died in battle during World War I. A dedication sign for Lonnie Green resides just outside the play area.
