Cultural Kite Festival 2019 information.
Kite flying is a popular activity and sport in many countries around the world, and it has proved to be a major hit in Sugar Land as our City represents a mixture of cultures and diversity. The fun includes:
The kite contest is open to all ages and kite shapes and sizes! There is no cost to enter. Trophies are awarded to first, second, and third place participants for each category.
Show your creativity and spirit! The chalk art competition is free and open to all. During the event, certain areas are sectioned off and the ground acts as a canvas. Chalk, tape, water, and gloves are provided on-site.
The Chalk Art Competition is a collaborative effort between Parks & Recreation and the city's Cultural Arts division
Hundreds of kites took flight at this year's event as our community gathered for fun, cultural performances, kite-making (at the workshop), food, and fun! The windy weather did not disappoint!
