12 Days of Christmas

In-Person Activities: Parking and admission are free but limited due to COVID-19 crowd assembly regulations. Social distance guidelines will be observed.

Day 1: 12 Days of Festive Fun & Virtual 5K

Virtual Activity

Join the sweetest City in Texas for the Sugar Rush 5K between Dec. 1 and 12! Planned right after Thanksgiving and before Christmas, let’s start your holidays on the right track. (Get it? Right 'track'?)
Cost: $17 per participant - includes a race medal and downloadable race bib. Register for the Virtual Race -The 5K Sugar Rush (2020)

 Day 2: Storytime - Christmas Tales and Fables

Virtual Activity

Gather your little ones at home with milk and cookies and enjoy a Christmas story time activity featuring classic Christmas stories to take the imaginations of children to the North Pole and back.  

Day 3: Ornament Decorations

Virtual Activity

Learn how to create colorful and fun Christmas ornament decorations for the Christmas Tree... there are no creative limits!  A variety of ornament patterns will be shown, and a featured DIY ornament making project will allow you to test your own art skills.
Suggested supplies needed: construction paper, crayons, waterproof markers, glue, scissors, photographs, etc.

Day 4: Fun Frosty Friday

In-Person Activity

Visit Sugar Land Town Square and witness beautiful ice carving demonstrations, ice skating presentations and snowflake flurries! 

Day 5: Saturday with the Stars

In-Person Activity

Some of Sugar Land’s most talented 'Sugar Land Superstars' will be headlining a Christmas concert extravaganza in Sugar Land Town Square. Come experience your favorite Christmas songs featured in a variety of music genres to include country western, pop, jazz, rock and rhythm and blues!

Day 6: Santa’s Sunday Workshop

In-Person Activity

The Santa Sunday Workshop will transform Sugar Land Town Square Plaza into Santa’s Workshop with a restaurant type setting. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees can order takeout from restaurants within Sugar Land Town Square. Table spaces will be fully equipped with DIY Christmas projects to serve as a space where families can enjoy a Christmas brunch from any of the local eateries outdoors. 

Day 7: Christmas Cards and Letters

Virtual Activity

Create hand-design cards and letters to express thoughtful and fun messages to Santa before Christmas. Christmas postcards and letters can be dropped off at Santa’s Mailbox in Sugar Land Town Square Plaza throughout the 12 Days of Christmas.

Day 8: Voices of Christmas

Virtual and In-Person Activity

Enjoy Christmas Carols presented by the George Ranch High School Show Choir!

Day 9: Cooking Decorating

Virtual Activity

Put on your apron and get your baking supplies ready.  This DIY Dessert Demonstration will show participants how to make festive and edible designs on Christmas cookies that you would be proud to serve to Santa or gift to your family members and friends.

Day 10: Sounds of Christmas Music

In-Person Activity               

The sounds of Christmas are upon us! Enjoy a time of joy and merriment while listening to the voices of the Fort Bend Christian Academy at Sugar Land Town Square.                                                     

Day 11: Sounds of Music

In-Person Activity

Travis High School Orchestra will take center stage in Sugar Land Town Square.  The symphonic ensemble of  brass, percussion, wood winds and strings will fill the atmosphere with classic Christmas compositions and majestic renditions of popular Christmas songs.  

Day 12: Dance and Movie

In-Person Activity

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and prepare to get cozy! A Holiday Dance Showcase will take place in the plaza of Sugar Land Town Square. Immediately following the dance showcase, a Christmas movie will be featured on an outdoor movie screen.
