The Sugar Land sky will light up with colorful pyrotechnics to celebrate America’s Independence Day. This free festival offers plenty of fun including an incredible fireworks display, music, food, vendors, and more.
Plan for an evening full of patriotic family fun and activities for all ages coupled with great food and a variety of music! Entertainment and activities will include photo opportunities, vendor booths, and a main stage area featuring a variety of talent. The event will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display.

Event Parking
Limited parking will be available and will fill up quickly. Please arrive early (5 p.m.). Paved parking lots will be available for those with handicap and parking permits in addition to limited general parking. The fair weather parking lot will be available for general parking.
Shuttle Service
A free shuttle service will be available to attendees from the University of Houston Sugar Land and Smart Financial Centre and is strongly encouraged. Shuttles will run continuously from 4 p.m. – 12 a.m. All shuttle traffic will halt for the launching of our fireworks from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The last shuttle will leave the shuttle lots at 8:30 p.m. Please plan accordingly. No large coolers are allowed on the shuttle and attendees are encouraged to pack lightly.

What Not To Bring:
- For Shuttle Users: Any large item that won’t fit on the shuttle or will be difficult to load on and off
- Prohibited Items
- Illegal substances
- Drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Laser pointers and air horns
- Drones, remote-controlled aircraft
- Cigarettes, cigars, or pipes - smoking is prohibited at The Crown Festival Park
- Glass
- Fireworks of any kind including sparklers
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Q: Do I need a ticket to enter?
A: No, tickets are not required.
Q: Where should I park?
A: We encourage attendees to take the shuttle to avoid traffic delays. Shuttle services are available at The University of Houston-Sugar Land and Smart Financial Centre. Uber and taxis are also welcome to drop off passengers at a designated location (TBD).
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The event will take place rain or shine. Cancellation will only take place if there are severe thunderstorms and/or lightening during the time of the event.
Q: Can I bring my own food and BBQ pit?
A: Food trucks and various vendors will be offering an assortment of food and beverage options including sandwiches, soda, and beer for purchase. A list of all food vendors will be posted on our Parks social media pages closer to the event. Event attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase food from the onsite vendors. Personal BBQ pits are not allowed onsite.
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: In our efforts to maximize the guest experience; we strongly suggest arriving at the event early. Gates open at 4 p.m. Expect traffic delays closer to the time of fireworks. All shuttle traffic will halt for the launching of our fireworks from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Prepare for crowds and arrive early.
Q: Will transportation be offered to reach the festival from parking locations?
A: Yes, buses will shuttle attendees from and to designated parking areas to Sugar Land from 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. except during the firework show.
Q: What happens if I arrive late to shuttle area or cannot get on a shuttle before 8:30 p.m. due to long lines?
A: You will be instructed to park and watch the fireworks from the shuttle lot. No matter which lot you are in, you should still have a great view of the show!
Q: Are folding chairs and canopies permitted?
A: Yes. You can bring your own blankets, chairs, and canopies. Canopies will only be allowed away from the stage so that others can view the stage.
