See how the City of Sugar Land hits target goals leading into COVID-19 pandemic

The Goal Measures Dashboard, which highlights the performance of the 30 key operations of the City of Sugar Land, shows that the City hit above target in multiple categories including public safety, financial and donations. The dashboard is updated after every quarter and emphasizes transparency between the City and:

  • Educates residents on the City’s performance for key city operations, like the police and fire departments
  • Identifies areas of operational improvement
  • Assists city management and elected officials in making data-driven decisions on key priority areas
  • Enhances government accountability and transparency

Among the key findings, the City’s sales tax was above target for quarter 1 and quarter 2 – a positive leading into the COVID-19 pandemic and its anticipated impacts. The City also hit target for all public safety measures and has hit its annual goal for donations halfway through the year.

As the COVID-19 pandemic, it is especially important to measure performance from one quarter to another to see what areas have been impacted and allow the City to take the appropriate actions needed to mitigate.
