Gasoline
Residents should take household quantities of gasoline to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center. Do not mix it with other automotive products. Avoid having to dispose of gasoline by buying only what you need.
Don't dump it! - Never put anything into a storm drain! If you have usable leftover items, share them with family or neighbors. Used oil, old paint and other household chemicals may not be placed in your garbage for collection.
Glass
Glass bottles and jars (all colors) can be recycled in your green recycle cart or at the recycling centers. All other types of glass, including broken glass, drinking glasses, ceramics, etc. should be put in your garbage cart.
Grass Clippings
Grass clippings can be recycled in the curbside Green Waste program, which is provided once a week. The City also encourages residents to participate in Grasscycling. Grasscycling allows grass clippings to remain on the yard after mowing; they can act as a slow-release fertilizer to your lawn while helping to retain moisture in the soil. This reduces the need for watering and can eliminate the need for fertilizer.
