Sugar Land is again offering residents a great opportunity to learn, serve and lead the City.  The 10 week 2009 spring program begins tentatively in February 2009.

Sugar Land 101, a course first introduced in spring 2004, allows citizens to familiarize themselves with the structure, function and purpose of City government.  It better equips and encourages residents to assume leadership roles within the community.

Enrollment is limited and diversity is sought in class makeup.

Eligible candidates must:

  •  Currently reside within Sugar Land City Limits
  •  Resident of Sugar Land at least one year
  •  A registered voter in Fort Bend County
  •  Not currently holding or running for elected office in any city, school district, county, state or federal election
  •  Willing to commit to attendance of sessions

For more information email the City Manager's Office or call 281-275-2710.
