Sugar Land's Crime Prevention Fair
Programs galore are offered at this year's crime prevention fair, a citywide celebration in honor of Crime Prevention Month.
Children and their parents are encouraged to join the fun at the Sugar Land Police hosted event to be held from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Oct. 8 at Lost Creek Park, 3703 Lost Creek. Children will have an opportunity to participate in a bicycle rodeo.
Sugar Land police officers will provide the following crime prevention services:
Bicycle Identification: Bikes frames are engraved with the owner's drivers license number to deter theft. If the bike is lost or stolen, it can be easily identified and returned to its owner.
Child ID Cards: Digitally produced, the cards include personal information and the child's photo. The cards are useful to parents who need important information about their child readily available in an emergency.
Operation H.E.A.T. (Help End Auto Theft): Register your car with this statewide decal program to reduce theft. Vehicle owners not normally using their vehicles between 1 - 5 a.m. sign an agreement allowing peace officers to verify the vehicle's ownership.
