Amy Cummins
Officer Cummins has been a peace officer for 7 years and was previously assigned to the Patrol Division.She attended the University of Houston Police Academy and soon after became a reserve peace officer for Waller County Constables Office. She then obtained a Police Officer position at the University of Houston Police Department – Central Campus in 1999. That was where she became very involved in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault crimes and became a sexual assault advocate for the University.
After spending 3 years at the University of Houston, she was hired by the Sugar Land Police Department where she has been since 2003. Officer Cummins has a tremendous respect and concern for victims and found that being a patrol officer had given her a chance to make a difference in peoples lives.
