Police Beat 1 Crime Prevention Officer

Officer Babnew started his law enforcement career with the City of Southside Place as a police dispatcher in 1986. In 1988 I attended the basic police academy at the University of Houston Class 65. After graduating the Police Academy I worked for the HISD Police Department and the City of Southside Place before being hired by the City of Sugar Land Police in January of 1993.

While employed with the City of Sugar Land Officer Babnew has worked in the  Patrol Division with specialized assignments in the Traffic Division,  SWAT Team and Field Training Officer.  Officer Babnew currently serves as a Crisis Negotiator with the East Fort Bend Regional SWAT Team.
