Attempted Burglary

SUGAR LAND POLICE NEED YOUR HELP

Sugar Land Police are looking for a male imposter who claims to be a computer repairman, enters businesses and attempts to steal laptop computers by removing them from the location for "repair".

The imposter entered on May 8 the Countywide Home Loan located at 13843 Southwest Freeway.  An employee asked the alleged repairman for identification and inquired about what he was doing.  The suspect replied he was repairing computers.  As the female employee was on the telephone communicating with her boss who explained he had not ordered any computer service, the imposter was carrying two laptop computers out of the door.  The female employee grabbed the laptop computers from the suspect.  The suspect left the scene empty-handed.

The suspect was last seen getting into a "low-rider type" vehicle, possibly a Monte Carlo, with red-colored interior and tinted windows.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male between 30-35 years old with a slender build, brown eyes, strawberry-blonde colored hair and rotten teeth.  At the time of the attempted crime, he was wearing a black-colored baseball cap, red-colored pullover T-shirt, black jean shorts and black tennis shoes with white socks.

Anyone with any information about this suspect is encouraged to contact Sugar Land Detective Craig Bowers at 281-275-2548 or Fort Bend CrimeStoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
