MISSION STATEMENT 

It is the mission of the Patrol Division to provide delivery of uniform police service and initial response to incidents and offenses; to identify, to analyze and to respond to the underlying circumstances that create problems which require police action. 

DIVISION OVERVIEW 

The Patrol Division consists of one captain, four lieutenants, 17 sergeants and 76 patrol officers dedicated to community oriented policing. The patrol officers are responsible for patrolling the streets of Sugar Land in a proactive approach to preventing criminal activity. The patrol officer answers the call for service, takes the initial report and collects any evidence at the time. This division also offers close patrols, house watch, traffic assignments and child safety seat inspections in an effort to help the citizens of Sugar Land.
