Sugar Land's 9th Annual Tree Lighting Event

Many Sugar Land residents enjoyed a wonderful and festive celebration at the City’s Christmas Tree Lighting as the City lit its 40 ft. Christmas Tree with Santa Clause as a special guest.  From thrilling ice sculptures, amusing stilt walkers and juggling elves to walk-around penguins and snowmen, citizens took a sneak visit to the North Pole without ever having to leave Sugar Land!  Performances from local organizations, churches and schools, captivated the Christmas magic as they danced, sang and played on main stage.  And to Sugar Land’s surprise, the Sugar Land Skeeters unveiled their new mascots, Swatson and Moe!

Don’t forget to board the City of Sugar Land’s Christmas Tree Lighting express next year; it’s a trip you won’t want to miss scheduled for Thursday, December 6, 2012.
