Sugar Land’s 2nd Annual Halloween Town

Spooky creatures, superheroes and other colorful characters are all invited to take part in the City of Sugar Land’s second annual Halloween Town event to be held on Saturday, October 31st from 5pm to 10pm at Sugar Land Town Square. Activities and entertainment to spook and surprise the whole family will run from 5 – 8pm and will include the popular costume contest and trick-or-treating in the square. This evening of family-friendly frights will come to an end with a special Halloween Movie under the Moon starting at 8pm.
Halloween Town is presented by the City of Sugar Land in partnership with Keep Sugar Land Beautiful and Sugar Land Town Square Management Company.
Costume Contest
Start getting your Halloween outfits ready, as you don’t want to miss out on this year’s costume contest. Just remember, no blood or gruesome horror elements – we like our ghosts and frights to be friendly!
Costumes will be judged in the following categories:
- 0 - 3 year olds
- 4 - 6 year olds
- 7 - 9 year olds
- 10 - 12 year olds
- Pets
Once again the pet contest will be sponsored by a Dog’s Life Luxury Dog Boutique.

Trick-or-treating
Town Square retailers will have pounds of candy for eager trick-or-treaters that enter their stores and special chocolate treats will also be handed out as part of the City’s 50th Anniversary.
Entertainment and Activities
Local businesses and community organizations will once again be providing plenty of activities to keep everyone busy.
Back by popular demand will be the haunted horse and carriage ride through the streets. Other activities will include wax hand making and games provided by local organizations, such as Keep Sugar Land Beautiful, who will be providing games and activities and encouraging everyone to recycle and help keep our City clean and green every day of the year.
Refreshments
Food and drinks will be on sale from The Fort Bend Rotary Club, as well as from the many food vendors in the Square.
Parking
Parking will be available in the Texas and Lone Star Parking garages, with limited street parking.
