2011 brought out over 6,000 residents to the event and the 28th annual EGGStravaganza is sure to offer great activities once again. Set for Saturday, March 31 from noon to 3 p.m. at Eldridge Park - 2511 Eldridge Road, Sugar Land, TX 77478, this year’s event will offer free fun games and prizes such as:
- Egg “Scrambles” – Our play off of the traditional egg hunts where children will get scramble around the field collecting as many eggs as possible that may be redeemed for bigger prizes.
- Egg Hunts for children with special needs – area will include a mini hay bale course where a variety of prize filled eggs will be “hidden”; Beeping eggs will be available for children with vision impairments.
- Bubbling foam area for kids to enjoy lathering up in the park with their clothes on (oh my!).
- Free pictures with the Easter Bunny for the first 200 guests (one picture per family please).
- Carnival games including prize wheel, ring toss, knock ‘em down cans and more complete with free prizes.
- Temporary Tattoo stations.
- Festive colorful walk around entertainment.
- An interactive children’s DJ.
- …and much more!
Egg Scramble Schedule
To avoid missing out, children should be at the scramble area for their age group five minutes before start time since each scramble last but a few minutes and is not repeated.
Ongoing throughout the event for special needs children
Ongoing through the event for 4 year olds and younger
12:30 p.m. for 5 year olds 
1:00 p.m. for 6 year olds
1:30 p.m. for 7 year olds
2:00 p.m. for 8 and 9 year olds
2:30 p.m. for 10-12 year olds
Admission/Cost
Parking and all activities including pictures with the Easter Bunny are free and offered by the City of Sugar Land, Parks and Recreation Dept.
Refreshments
As part of their annual fundraiser, the Sugar Land Lion’s Club will be onsite selling cold drinks and a variety of meal options for hot dogs to ice cream!
