Regular Bingo - You can play up to three cards at one time, but it will cost you one non-perishable food item per card.

Special Bingo
- You can play only one card at a time. The type of Bingo prizes will be designated each month in the calendar on page 2. For example: This month no prizes will be over $1 in value. There is no cost, but donations of non-perishable food items are appreciated. All food items are donated to Fort Bend Seniors Inc. Meals on Wheels Program.

Senior ID's

The Sugar Land Police and Parks and Recreation Departments have joined forces to provide Senior Citizens with an emergency ID card. These cards will have a photo ID with all your pertinent emergency information to keep with you at all times in your wallet. ID cards issued by the Center can be used anywhere in case of an emergency.
Seniors are required to have an ID on all senior trips.

Senior ID's will be made the third Wednesday of each month from

10:00 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the Sugar Land Senior Center. 


Senior Ambassadors - Wanted!

Volunteers to assist at the Senior Center
The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking Senior Ambassadors to volunteer at the newly renovated Senior Center. We are looking for enthusiastic people to meet and greet visitors, teach classes, maintain the library and the information center - just to name a few things. Seniors interested can pick up an application at the Senior Center reception desk.  
Disc Golf The City of Sugar Land has officially opened a 9-hole disc golf course at Imperial Park.  Never played?  We have the rules at the Senior Center and a map of the course.  No discs?  No problem, we can loan you discs to play the course.

Fire Safety

Captain Michael McLemore of the Sugar Land Fire Department Community Preparedness Division will present Survive!  Fire in your home.
This is a National Fire Protection Association program that presents a dramatic portrayal of a home fire tragedy to emphasize the importance for preparing in advance while raising awareness.

Spring Pot Luck at Duhacsek Park Wednesday, April 16

Join us as we fire up the grill for a wiener roast at Duhacsek Park.  We will provide the drinks, buns and wieners, you provide all the fixin's.  RSVP with your condiment or side dish of your choice.  Maps to Duhacsek will be available beginning April 1 at the Senior Center.

Wednesday, April 9 - 8-Ball Partners
Sign up now for this exciting tournament!  8-ball partner rules available at the Senior Center.  Partners do not have to be spouses or co-ed teams.  A donation of nonperishable food items for Fort Bend Meals on Wheels is requested.

Horseshoe Tournament

Don't have shoes?  No problem.  The Senior Center will have sets to loan.

Sign up with your partner for our first horseshoe tournament!  Rules will be available beginning March 1 at the Senior Center.  There is no fee!

April is a month full of history and life.  Join us at the Spring Fling as we pay homage to those who fought bravely at the Battle of San Jacinto as well as celebrating life on our space ship Earth. 

Light refreshments will be served.

Splish, Splash -- we are having a blast at the ole swimming hole.  Come out and join us for an afternoon full of fun at the City Park swimming hole, located at Wood and 7th Streets.  We will have music, pool games and hot dogs for lunch.  So grab your suit, sunglasses and sunscreen and join in the fun! 
The Parks and Recreation Lifeguards will be on hand to ensure your safety while swimming.

Casino Night

The Sugar Land Speakeasy will once again open its doors for a night of games and fun.  Dealers will be on hand to teach you the basics of poker, roulette, craps and blackjack.  No speakeasy would be complete without a few non-alcoholic beverages being served, as well as light refreshments.  At the end of the night use your winnings to bid on some of our fabulous prizes.
We will exchange your non-perishable food items for chips!  10 items or a $10.00 donation to Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels gets you $5,000 in chips!
