This group offers special outings and day trips to explore the Texas Gulf Coast and beyond.
All return times are approximate and subject to change.
- Adventure Policies:
Fees are due two (2) weeks prior to any one-day adventure and one month prior to all overnight adventures.
Adventures that do not meet minimum number of participants two weeks prior to the trip date we reserve the right to cancel the trip.
Overnight adventures that do not meet minimum number of participants one month prior will be canceled.

Fire, Chocolate and Beer Adventure |
Wednesday, September 8 Come with us as we learn about the history of the Houston Fire Department (tours given by actual HFD firefighters), how to make chocolate at Kegg's Chocolate factory (and store) and how to make beer from Texas' oldest craft beer makers - St. Arnold's. Bring a small cooler to bring home anything you purchase at the chocolate factory. |

One-Day Casino Adventure |
Wednesday, September 28 Ya'll have been asking for it, ya'll got it: a day trip to L'auberge Du Lac Casino in Lake Charles. |

Congress street Bats & Town Lake Tour |
Wednesday, October 6 Adventure out with us to see the largest colony of Mexican free tail bats in the U.S. and tour Town Lake in Austin as we enjoy a great dinner cruise. |
Departs from the Sugar Land Community Center at 3:00 p.m. (Yes, it will be a late night -- but well worth the trip!) |
Price is $100; resident discount is $80. Price includes transportation, bat tour and dinner on the lake. Registration begins September 13; early registration for residents begins September 7. |
Buffalo Bayou and Bats! |
Wednesday, October 27 Don't miss out on this return adventure to see the Waugh Bridge Mexican free tail bat colony and take a history tour of Buffalo Bayou on a brand new boat! After our tour, we will have dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse. |
