Renovations Completed At Sugar Mill Park

The natural beauty of Sugar Mill Park has been made even more attractive and useful thanks to renovations recently completed.

The relaxing and scenic location, nested on just over five acres of land, has long been noted for its outstanding mature oak and pine trees, as well as a picturesque pond. That attractive setting is now interspersed with little pockets of activity for residents to enjoy.

The existing pond, where children have long enjoyed fishing has been highlighted by large boulders positioned around the perimeter. There are several new picnic tables set atop flagstone paths and paving, enabling families to enjoy picnics on the site. Several new outdoor grills make the area complete for a day of fun.

The pond now features a fountain that creates a wonderfully relaxing scene and mood. Visitors can also enjoy the serenity of this outstanding view by taking advantage of several park benches placed throughout the area.

New sidewalks now meander through the park, allowing for afternoon and early evening strolls.

Additional picnic tables are sheltered by a large new covered pavilion. This area is within sight of a colorful new playground for youngsters to enjoy while their parents spend relaxing moments watching them.

Lush landscaping makes this gorgeous setting even more beautiful. An irigation system has been installed to ensure that the grass and shrubs remain vibrant and lush throughout even the hottest of months.

And to many who have used this park routinely for years, the most popular addition has been off-road parking.

Sugar Mill is located at the intersection of Drakewood and Hidden Lakes Lane.
