Imperial Park Recreation Center

Sugar Land's new recreation center is open for business. Come see what we have to offer.

The center is designed to create a recreation campus atmosphere for all ages. The 17,000-square-foot facility, located next to the City's Community Center and Senior Center, includes a full gymnasium, an exercise room, two multipurpose rooms, a kitchen and a patio/garden area.

The annual facility usage card rate is $10 for residents and $46 for non-residents; Parking is available onsite.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Adult Sports Leagues

Get your team together or just stop by to enjoy a little friendly competition. Adult sports leagues are open to teams or individuals.

Kickball League
League members will enjoy a safe, fair & exciting atmosphere while maintaining an organized structure for game play.



 

Leisure Classes

What better way to spend your leisure time than with activities that promote your health, well being, and creativity. Check out the wide variety of classes available to you from your City's Parks & Recreation Department.

Restore the Core
Strengthen your core and lose your low belly sag with this intensive mat based pilates class incorporating flat bands and pilates balls. No impact. No Cardio. All core.

Ladies Functional Fitness
This class focuses on balance, stability, endurance, strength, and flexibility. Fun and function cross-training - all levels welcome!

Tai Chi
A class designed to create harmonious flow of chi or life force in the body.

Yoga Warriors
Yoga postures for SOCCER players!

Belly Dancing
Exercise class that enhances body and mind through world music. NEW class times & fees available starting in May!

Get in Shape
Looking for high intensity training?
Improve your flexibility, agility, & cardio with Coach Cooks.

Zumba- with Kathy
You now have two great zumba classes to chose from. Join us and party your way into shape with zumba fitness!

Yoga for Everybody
According to Yoga instructor Ken Hainline, Yoga for EveryBody classes are a wonderful opportunity to explore yoga's mind/body/breath connection. Asanas (yoga postures) are done with a level of awareness to help take you to the place of alignment specific to what your body requires. With a strong foundation and proper alignment as a result of your yoga practice you will discover renewed calmness, strength, balance, focus and flexibility!

Taekowndo
Join instructor Jenny Pless for a new family taekwondo class. This class is a great time for the whole family! Train together, learn together and have fun together this summer.

 

Youth Programs

Get them active in a fun and safe atmosphere. Youth get a chance to enhance their health, learn new things, and socialize. Contact your Parks & Recreation specialist for more information.

Summer Day Camp
Looking for something fun for your kids to do this summer? We've got 11 weeks of fun coming up in our summer day camp program.

City of Sugar Land Municipal Pool
Cool off this summer at the municipal pool! Swim lessons available for all ages! Pool opens Memorial Day weekend.

Karate
Karate classes are available for all ages! Beginner to Black Belt program will teach techniques in the art, sport, kidnaping awareness, and self confidence aspects of American Karate.
*Same Certified Instructors since 2001
