The Daily Crime Report consists of an easy-to-use online tool for residents and visitors to access crime and police report information within Sugar Land. It also provides the option to sign up for a daily crime update which you can receive by email.

Online Tool Update
The Sugar Land Police Department is in the process of updating its crime-reporting software. As part of this process, a more robust crime map will be launched online. The new map will improve usability and allow visitors to see crime information for Sugar Land and other jurisdictions like Missouri City and Fort Bend County. Thank you for your patience while we make this switch. During this short transition, you can stay up to date with what’s going on in our City by subscribing to our Daily Crime Report.

Sugar Land Crime Reports
The Daily Crime Report represents basic data of part one crimes as well as criminal mischief occurring within Sugar Land city limits. Users are reminded of the following online tool limitations:
  • Data retrieval is available for crimes occurring as early as April 2004 or the date of annexation into city jurisdiction if later
  • Information listed may not yet be verified by further investigation
  • Preliminary crime classifications may be changed at a later date based upon further investigation
  • Crime dot locations are approximate, due to automated location methods and address inconsistencies. All addresses are rounded to the hundred block
  • Information may include mechanical or human error. This data is not intended as a representation of official crime statistics and is inappropriate for use in litigation or any other legal or court proceeding

For questions about the information provided on the crime map, please call the Crime Prevention Unit at 281-275-2500.

Important: the Daily Crime Report does not include call types listed as attempted crimes. In addition, changes to call types after the officer's initial report (i.e., further investigation may result in a lesser or more serious offense) are not reflected in the Daily Crime Report.
