Sugar Land’s 13th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event

 Boys and girls, 5 o clock is too early for bed!
Why not come to Sugar Land instead?
It’s Thursday December third,
A grand holiday party, haven’t you heard?
Our holiday tree will be covered in light,
And your whole family wants to see that, right?
When the clock strikes 6, the tree will be lit
This is your warning so please don’t miss it!
Games, treats and even a deer!
I wonder when Santa will appear!

Come out and enjoy the lighting of the 40 foot Christmas Tree with a special appearance by Santa Claus at the City of Sugar Land’s 13th annual Christmas Tree Lighting event! 

This year’s event attendees will be enchanted with a mixture of theatrical and audio presentations by some of the communities most popular performers all while juggling elves capture their attention by creating holiday magic as they walk up and down the streets of Town Square. Activity stations hosted by local retailers and businesses will be available for hands-on fun and a variety of restaurants will have delightful treats available for purchase all evening. Along with admission, all activities and performances are free.

Main Stage Performances
This year’s events include performances by the City Lights Theatre, Inspiration Stage, Commonwealth Elementary, Drabek Elementary, and Sugar Creek Baptist Church Choir groups. In addition, Christmas themed dance performances, an interactive MC and a special appearance by the one and only Santa Claus will be sure to make your evening truly magical!

Refreshment Booths
A variety of local restaurants and organizations will also be providing scrumptious holiday refreshments throughout the evening for a nominal charge. Hot cocoa, coffee and delicious finger foods to keep everyone warm and satisfy cravings!

Parking and Shuttle Service
Parking will be available in the Texas and Lone Star garages located in Town Square. A free shuttle service will run continuously from Mercer Stadium (16403 Lexington Blvd.) to the Town Square from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
