Rates are composed of two parts; service charge according to meter size, and volume charge per 1,000 gallons consumed.

Service Charge

The water and wastewater service charge increases by meter size; the larger the meter the greater the cost.

Volume Charge

The water volume charge per 1,000 gallons varies according to the user classes for water as shown below, and wastewater volume charge is uniform per 1,000 gallons. Each residential, commercial and landscape user will pay a separate rate of $0.27 for each 1,000 gallons consumed for water. This charge will be shown on the utility bill as a separate fee.

Commercial users will be charged wastewater based on 100% of water usage. Residential users will be billed based on the average of January and February consumption. The maximum winter average for a resident will be 12,000 gallons. The resident will be billed the same amount for wastewater based on the February and March meter readings for each month in the following April through March, when the average will reset for the following twelve month period.

New customers, with no historical usage, are billed for wastewater usage that does not exceed adopted Standard Sanitary Wastewater Usage Rates, currently 9,600 gallons.
