Effective on December 1, 2005, proceedings for the annexation of the area known as Fort Bend MUD 113 was complete. Communities affected are Avalon and Brazos Landing. These residents are now residents of the City of Sugar Land and now receive the full complement of city services including the ability to vote in municipal elections.
