Refrigerators and Freezers

Allied Waste will no longer pick up appliances that were designed to contain refrigerants (freezers, refrigerators, air conditioning units) unless they have been certified by a professional to be free of refrigerants. Allied Waste maintains a list of vendors that can provide this service. (Allied Waste can be reached at 713-937-9955.)

Residents also have the option of taking uncertified appliances to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center located in Rosenberg where they are accepted for a $10 charge. Appliance stores also typically will take old appliances with the purchase of new ones.
