Needles

Needles should be placed in a sturdy plastic container with a tight fitting lid such as, a laundry detergent bottle. The bottle then needs to be taped shut and labeled syringes, sharps, or needles. The bottle can then be placed in your regular trash. DO NOT put this container in your recycling.

Newspapers

Residents can recycle newspapers in the recycling bin or recycle them at the recycling centers located at 111 Gillingham Lane or 4802 Scenic Rivers.

Abitibi's Paper Retriever Program promotes recycling by placing distinctive green and yellow paper retriever bins in highly visible areas at schools, churches and other non-profit organizations. They accept newspapers, magazines and catalogs, office/school paper, mail, phone books and soft cover books.
