Laundry Detergent Bottles

Empty bottles made from #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 and #7 plastic, can be recycled in your recycling bin or at the recycling centers located at 111 Gillingham Lane.

Don't dump it! - Never put anything into a storm drain! If you have usable leftover items, share them with family or neighbors. Used oil, old paint and other household chemicals may not be placed in your trash for collection.

Laundry Detergent Boxes

You can recycle laundry detergent boxes by placing them in your recycling bin. Be sure product has been emptied out of the box before placing it in your bin. You can recycle boxes at the recycling centers located at 111 Gillingham Lane or 4802 Scenic Rivers Drive.

Lawn Mowers

Residents can set lawn mowers out during their regular trash days. All gas, oil or fuel must be removed before setting it out.

You may also be able to donate your lawn mower if it's in good condition to a charitable organization or thrift store. You may be able to dispose of this item at a local landfill for a fee.

Leaves

Residents can also dispose of leaves by setting them out for their regular trash days in either bagged or in containers.

It is against City ordinance to rake, sweep or blow leaves onto the street. Debris may clog storm drains and increase the risk of floods.

All solid waste must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. of the day of collection, and no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the evening before.

Leaves can be composted in your backyard with vegetable scraps to make an effective soil conditioner.
