Facial Tissue

Facial tissue cannot be recycled curbside. Please put it in your trash.

Fax Paper

Residents can recycle fax paper in the recycling bin or you can recycle it at the recycling centers located at 111 Gillingham Lane or 4802 Scenic Rivers Drive.

Abitibi's Paper Retriever Program promotes recycling by placing distinctive green and yellow paper retriever bins in highly visible areas at schools, churches and other non-profit organizations. They accept newspapers, magazines and catalogs, office/school paper, mail, phone books and soft cover books.

Fencing

Residents can set fence posts out during their normal trash days or you can have the installer dispose of the fencing. Wooden fence posts must be no longer than 4 feet in length, separated, nail and cement free.

You may be able to dispose of this item at a local landfill for a fee.

Fertilizers

Residents should take household quantities of fertilizers to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center. Avoid having to dispose of fertilizers by buying only what you need. Empty containers should be put in the trash.

Don't dump it! - Never put anything into a storm drain! If you have usable leftover items, share them with family or neighbors. Used oil, old paint and other household chemicals may not be placed in your trash for collection.

Flammable Liquids

Residents should take household quantities of flammable liquids to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center. Most empty containers should be put in the trash. Avoid having to dispose of flammable liquids by buying only what you need.

Fluorescent Light Bulbs

Residents should take household quantities of fluorescent light bulbs to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center.

Food Containers

Disposable food or take-out containers made of cardboard or styrofoam are NOT recyclable (such as pizza boxes or egg cartons). Tupperware-type containers and plastic containers that contain baked goods, deli, or produce from the grocery store which are made from #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 and #7 plastic, can be recycled in your recycling bin or at the recycling center located at 111 Gillingham Lane.

Please rinse any food particles out of the containers before placing them in the bin.

Furniture

Residents can set furniture out on their regular trash days.

You may also be able to donate furniture in good condition to a charitable organization or thrift store.
