Aerosol Cans
Aerosol cans are not accepted for curbside recycling, please put them in your trash. Otherwise, please take partially-filled aerosol cans to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center.
All Purpose Cleaners
If the bottles are not empty, please take them to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center. Empty bottles made from #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 and #7 plastic, can be recycled in your recycling bin or at the recycling center located at 111 Gillingham Lane.
Don't dump it! - Never put anything into a storm drain! If you have usable leftover items, share them with family or neighbors. Used oil, old paint and other household chemicals may not be placed in your trash for collection.
Aluminum Cans
You can recycle aluminum cans in your recycling bin or recycle them at the recycling centers located at 111 Gillingham Lane or 4802 Scenic Rivers Drive.
Aluminum Foil and Other Aluminum Products
You can recycle aluminum foil, plates, trays and disposable cooking ware in your recycling bin as long as it is clean and clear of food products. Otherwise, please put it in your trash.
Animal Waste
Please seal animal waste in a plastic bag before putting it in your trash.
Antifreeze
Residents should take household quantities of antifreeze to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center where it will be recycled. Do not mix it with other automotive products. Avoid having to dispose of anti-freeze by buying only what you need. Some automotive stores or repair shops may take this item for you.

Appliances
Allied Waste will no longer pick up appliances that were designed to contain refrigerants (freezers, refrigerators, air conditioning units) unless they have been certified by a professional to be free of refrigerants. Allied Waste maintains a list of vendors that can provide this service. (Allied Waste can be reached at 713-937-9955.)
Residents also have the option of taking uncertified appliances to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center located in Rosenberg where they are accepted for a $10 charge. Appliance stores also typically will take old appliances with the purchase of new ones.
Ashes
Allow ashes to cool and then seal them in a plastic bag before putting them in your trash. This will help prevent injuries to crew members, and litter in your neighborhood.
Auto Body Parts
Automotive parts are not accepted for curbside pickup. Please contact a junk yard or a metal recycler to dispose of an auto body part.
Automotive Fluids
Residents should take household quantities of automotive fluids and oil filters to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center for safe disposal. Do not mix the fluids together. Avoid having to dispose of automotive fluids by buying only what you need.
Motor oil and some filters can be recycled at a number of locations around town. You can find these locations at Earth 911 or by calling your local automotive repair shop or parts store.
