Judy Janecek

Adminstration Director - Judy Janecek Judy Janecek, Director of Public Affairs, has responsibility for the Public Communications Department and administration of the staff and operations in the offices of the City Manager and Assistant City Manager. She also serves as staff liaison to City Council. As liaison, Judy manages the response to the materials and information needed in their capacity as Council members, their correspondence and scheduling of their meetings.

She manages the ASK CITY staff, the communications resource available to residents for timely response to their questions or concerns. Judy also has a major role in the annual Sugar Land 101 class, the District Town Hall meetings and the quarterly Neighborhood HOA meetings.

Judy joined the City 15 years ago. Previously she had worked four years in the City Manager’s office in Rosenberg, Texas. She is certified by the Texas Municipal Clerk’s Association as a certified municipal clerk.
