NOTICE FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Sealed proposals in triplicate, addressed to the City Secretary Office of the City of Sugar Land, Texas, will be received until 11:00 o'clock a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008, for:

PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE ROOM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Signed and sealed proposals shall be delivered to the City Secretary Office, on or before 11:00 o'clock a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008, City of Sugar Land, City Hall, 2700 Town Center Boulevard North, Suite 122, Sugar Land, Texas, 77479.  All proposals received after the appointed time shall be returned to bidder unopened.  Notice of the award of contract shall be given by the City within one hundred and twenty (120) days following the date for the opening of proposals.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be conducted Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brazos Room, 1st Floor of City Hall, 2700 Town Center Boulevard North, Sugar Land, TX.  The pre-proposal conference is not mandatory, but proposers are encouraged to attend.

The City reserves the right to revise or amend the specifications prior to the date set for opening of proposals.  Such revisions or amendments, if any, will be announced by addenda or addendum to the specifications.  Copies of such addenda so issued will be furnished to all prospective bidders and may or may not affect the proposal opening date. 

The City of Sugar Land reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in proposals received.  The award will be based on scores given by an evaluation panel.
