Executive Summary |
|||||
|
The
Animal Services Division was approached by First Colony Community Association
(FCCA) to see if the City would be interested in being the recipient of a
fundraiser being organized by FCCA. The “Paws for a Cause” dog walk was held the
morning of October 10, 2009 preceding the opening of the new dog park, Pawm
Springs. The walk was a huge success and included a best trick contest and
best costume contest. It was well attended by both two-legged and four-legged
walkers alike. The event had several business sponsors from the area. The event raised $2,600.00 to go towards the
care of the animals at the City’s shelter. |
