Executive Summary |
||||
|
The City of Sugar Land has been invited by the Texas Department of Transportation to apply for an $8,000 grant to enforce occupant protection laws during the Memorial Day holiday period from May 24, 2010 through June 6, 2010. No match is required. The grant will pay for overtime and benefits for traffic officers to increase enforcement during the holiday period. The application requires a resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for the grant. Resolution 10-17 has been prepared to meet the conditions of the grant and also authorize City Manager, Allen Bogard, to accept the grant upon award. The Department requests that City Council approve Resolution 10-17 and authorize a budget adjustment in the General Fund to both revenues and expenditures in the amount of $8,000 upon award. |
