Summary |
||||
|
Over the years, the building located at 200 Matlage Way has been utilized in a myriad of fashions. Within the past 50 years, it has served as a feed store, the City’s original City Hall, a Fire Station and now a Senior Center and the administrative offices of the Parks and Recreation Department. Various expansions and redesigns to the facility have occurred with the latest being the completion of the Phase I expansion of the Senior Center in FY07. In accordance with the City’s Capital Improvement program, phase II was scheduled for design in FY09 with construction scheduled to begin in FY11. A PER was completed in 2009 to assess the building and provide an estimate of costs for necessary repairs and buildout. This workshop will review the findings of the PER along with demographics of the Sugar Land’s senior population and seek input on direction for future expansion. |
