Recommended Action
Staff recommends authorizing the one-year contract extension with Lone Star Uniforms, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $91,000.
Executive Summary
On October 3, 2006, Council approved a contract in the amount of $91,000 with Lone Star Uniforms, Inc. for patrol uniforms, outer wear, ballistic and tactical vests. This contract was competitively bid and awarded for a period of one (1) year with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms. All contract requirements have been met during the past year and the department is pleased with the service rendered. The same service level will continue with no increase in unit cost. Staff recommends renewing the contract with Lone Star Uniforms, Inc. in the amount of $91,000 for one additional year for the period of November 3, 2007 through November 2, 2008.
