Recommended Action

Recognize City of Sugar Land City Council as the recipient of the 2008 TCMA City Council of the Year Award.

 

Executive Summary

On June 27, 2008, the Texas City Manager’s Association (TCMA) awarded the City Council of the Year award to the Sugar Land City Council at their Annual TCMA meeting. This is the third year that the award has been presented and in the past has been presented to the City’s of El Paso and Plano. The award honors the City Council for their support of the Council Manager form of Government through professional management, ethical practices and effective decision making to ensure the highest standards for their community.
