Executive Summary

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is the nation's leading commercial and industrial construction trade association, representing 23,000 members nationwide.  ABC is Houston's source for construction related training and education, business development, legislative updates and industry information.  On Thursday, October 12, 2006 at their annual Excellence in Construction Awards Competition at the Omni Hotel, E. E. Reed Construction was awarded the First Place Trophy for the Sugar Land Regional Airport New Terminal Building project.  The award was in the category of Institutional Government Building Projects Under $25 million.  The Texas limestone and stucco exterior with Texas artisan-made copper star sconces and pitched metal roof are reminiscent of a Texas ranch house.  The two working stone fireplaces and custom furnishings in the lobby combine with red oak paneling to create a country club atmosphere.  The new terminal offers fixed-base operator services, public waiting, airport administration and superb amenities for corporate pilots.  To receive an award from this prestigious organization is indeed an honor.
