Recommended Action

Approve the payment of the Tiburon annual software maintenance in the amount of $49,259.00

Executive Summary

Tiburon is the software publisher of the system that provides Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) to the Police and Fire Departments, a Records Management System (RMS) for Police and Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) for our Police and Fire fleet.

 

We have been using the Tiburon product since 1993 and this is a request to renew the annual maintenance and license for these systems.  Renewal entitles us to receive regular software enhancements as they become available, current user and system documentation and 24/7 support.  

 

The terms and fees for the software and support are consistent with prior years charges; RMS‑$21,603.00, CAD/MDT‑$27,656.00

 

Renewal of the Tiburon license is budgeted in the FY07 Information Technology account

010‑1125‑511.41‑80.

 

Staff recommends the renewal of the Tiburon annual software maintenance in the amount of $49,259.00
