Recommended Action

City Council consideration and approval to execute two identical agreements for Emergency Medical Housing between the City of Sugar Land and Fort Bend County to house ambulances, one each at Fire Station 2 and Fire Station 6.

Executive Summary

The Sugar Land Fire Department has a desire to enter into an agreement with Fort Bend County to maintain the proximity of EMS units within the City.  The County will staff one Advance Life Support Ambulance with two Emergency Medical Service Personnel at each fire station.  Upon approval, the agreements will be effective October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2008, with either party having the right to terminate upon a thirty day written notice to the other party.
