Council Member Amy Mitchell
In June 2011, Amy Mitchell was elected to a two-year term as Council Member, District Three. Amy Mitchell, a partner at Mitchell & Duff, LLC, is committed to upholding the highest standards in the legal profession and has served on the State Bar Grievance Committee overseeing Fort Bend lawyers conduct.
Her community involvement includes President, Sugar Land Exchange Club, Sugar Land 101, Citizens Police Academy, CAST, and Citizens Fire Academy. Amy passionately supports the Fort Bend Women's Center, Child Advocates, American Red Cross, Fort Bend Literacy Council, Asians Against Domestic Abuse, Fort Bend Seniors, Santa’s Exchange, ARC and has chaired fundraisers for several of these organizations. Amy volunteers for FBISD serving as a guest speaker, awards presenter and dedicating many hours to keeping Colony Bend Elementary School open.
